The Best of Sewing Machine Fun for Kids

    http://www.amazon.com/Best-Sewing-Machine-Fun-Kids/dp/1571202544/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1314468833&sr=8-1

We haven’t used it yet as it’s a Christmas present (with my unused sewing machine), but I LOVE the projects inside! There are pages that you photocopy or trace to practice sewing without thread (to practice turns) as well as mazes and dot-to-dots to sew before doing projects. There are pages on parts of a machine, safety and taking care of. There are numerous projects: lunch bag, scrunchies, pillow friend, notebook cover, cards, Christmas ornaments. It’s a kid-friendly book with nice graphics and simple instructions for the beginner.

I hope this helps! I know my daughter will be excited!
