About Us

I somehow managed to delete this from the top of the page, so I’ll just have to put it here for you to read.

I am married to my high school sweetheart.  This December we will be married for 10 years.  YEAH!  We have two children.  I cannot even begin to describe how much I love being a mom and wife.  I stay home with the kids and we home school.  The joy that homeschooling has already brought me cannot be put into words.  I also enjoy reading shopping, and I recently just started playing piano again.  Merideth loves taking gymnastics, and Grant loves taking karate.  Grant is also learning to play the piano.  They are both involved in Awana Clubs.  Chris is such a wonderful dad and his kids are his life.  He has pretty much put any and all hobbies of his own on hold for now, unless the kids can come along.  Whether it is taking a walk, wrestling, or just sitting and talking.  If his kids are there that is where you will find him when he is not at work.  How blessed I am to be married to such a family man!  As as family, we enjoy camping and our yearly vacation to the beach.

Chris’ Trip to Japan

Back in August Chris had to go to Japan for work for 12 days.  This picture was taken at the home of a man who had just moved back to Japan from the states after working as a coordinator in the plant that Chris works in.  He invited Chris and Phil another man from here over for a Japanese style B-Bque.  The children loved having them in their home also.  They sent Japanese money, candy, origami, and noodles that I still can’t cook because I can’t read the directions, back to our kids.

This was a trying time for our family while daddy was gone.  We started our schoolyear, had a family reunion, all of us got nasty headcolds and had to go to gma and gpa’s a day earlier than planned so I could take medicine and not have to worry about the kids going outside while I was sleeping and my nanny passed away.  This was the first person that my kids have lost that they were old enough to understand what was going on.  So, telling them by myself was pretty tough.  Nanny lived right down the road from me my whole life, and I was in and out of her house all of the time.  She was such a sweet lady and so full of life.  She loved her kids and grandkids and was always so proud of us, no matter what we did.  Even in the times that we probably gave her reason not to be proud.  She loved to dance!!  She was a christian and in her last days during my last visit with her she told me “I can’t wait to see heaven, it is going to be so pretty”.  Well, nanny I bet your dancing at the feet of Jesus now!
